In the mid 1970's, at age 12, Ron’s family moved to interior Alaska in the area now known as the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. His move to this vast wilderness developed two passions that have stayed with Ron to this day, his love of the outdoors and desire to capture the beauty of the natural world in photographs. After high school Ron left Alaska to pursue a business degree at Eastern Washington University and then an MBA at UC Irvine. Returning to Alaska in 1992 with wife Janine they settled in Seward, Alaska, a small coastal town on the Kenai Peninsula. Ron feels very fortunate to call the Kenai Fjords National Park, Chugach National Forest and Gulf of Alaska his "backyard". Ron’s extensive collection of stock images includes Alaska, the Western United States and Canada. Shooting landscapes is Ron’s passion and by taking a landscape approach and applying it to travel, tourism and adventure/recreation photos he gives the photographs a look and style uniquely his own. Ron’s photography has been published worldwide in print ads, editorial articles, calendars, postcards, books, music CD’s and art prints. Ron is also available for assignment work.
